Patchy dense fog has developed this morning across portions of the North Carolina Mountains and Foothills thanks to good radiational cooling conditions overnight as well as wet soils from yesterday's rainfall. Visibilities could drop down to one quarter mile or less at times. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
Visibilities should improve within the next hour or two.
