Snow. Additional snow accumulations generally around an inch, with isolated spots right along the Tennessee border seeing an additional 2 inches. Winds gusting 50 to 60 mph, and up to 70 mph on higher ridgetops.

* WHERE...
Avery, Madison, Mitchell, and Yancey Counties.

* WHEN...
Until 9 AM EST this morning.

* IMPACTS...
The snowfall will create slippery and snow covered roadways. Very strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines.
