Canceled 5/12/25 9:45 PM Flood Advisory issued May 12 at 6:43PM EDT until May 12 at 9:45PM EDT by NWS Raleigh NC * WHAT... Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE... A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Harnett, Hoke, Moore and Randolph. * WHEN... Until 945 PM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 642 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated showers with very heavy rainfall training or moving over the same area repeatedly. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Southern Pines, Carthage, North Carolina Zoo, Pinehurst, Aberdeen, Seagrove, Whispering Pines, Ramseur, Pinebluff, Robbins, Foxfire, Taylortown, Vass, Cameron, Seven Lakes, Highfalls, Glendon, Eagle Springs, Ashley Heights and Coleridge. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood ![]() |
