Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

A portion of south central Virginia, including the following counties, Halifax and Pittsylvania.

* WHEN...
Until 1030 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 944 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Banister River, Catawba Creek, Allen Creek, Bradley Creek, Buffalo Creek, Bird Creek, Bull Creek and Armistead Branch.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
