Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...
Central Union NC County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...

* WHEN...
Until 100 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1055 PM EDT, gauge reports indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. The stream gauge on Bearskin Creek at North Charlotte Avenue in Monroe was at 8.4 feet and still rising, but nearing a crest. At 8 feet, Bearskin Creek is out of its banks and beginning to impact the greenway at Dickerson Park. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen in the headwaters of Bearskin Creek and the wave of high water will move down the creek through midnight.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected.
