At 1014 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 9 miles northwest of Marshall to 16 miles southeast of Newport. Movement was east at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Marshall, Weaverville, Mars Hill, Hot Springs, Mount Mitchell State Park, B.R. Parkway-East Asheville To Craggy Gardens, Smoky Mountains-Big Creek, North Asheville, Leicester, and Woodfin.
