At 524 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.

Downtown Asheville, Waynesville, Marshall, East Asheville, Arden, West Asheville, North Asheville, Black Mountain, Mills River, Woodfin, Fletcher, Swannanoa, Canton, Lake Junaluska, Weaverville, Fairview In Buncombe County, Mars Hill, Biltmore Forest, Bent Creek and Clyde.
Heavy rainfall is coming to an end across the area. However, additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
