The combination of low relative humidity values, 20 to 25 percent and very dry fuels will lead to an increased fire danger threat for portions of Eastern North Carolina. Multiple wildfires were reported this weekend by the North Carolina and US Forest Service.
Outdoor burning is discouraged. Please refer to your local burn permitting authority on whether you can burn. If you must burn, use extreme caution and ensure fire suppression equipment is readily available.
