The Flood Watch is now in effect for * A portion of southwest Virginia, including the following areas, Bland and Tazewell.

* Until 7 AM EST this morning * Additional rainfall combined with earlier rainfall of 1 to 2 inches may result in minor flooding through the early morning hours.

* Quick rises on area creeks, streams, and other low lying areas will be possible. Downed trees are also possible as a result of saturated ground and root systems. A few mudslides or rock slides cannot be ruled out especially in areas of steep terrain. Roads may be impassable due to flooding.
