At 411 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles southeast of Alton, or 7 miles northeast of Roxboro, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Oxford, Roxboro, Stovall, Bethel Hill, Mayo Reservoir, Berea, and John H Kerr Reservoir.
This includes Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 205 and 206.
