Snow showers will bring localized brief coatings on area roadways along with drastic visibility reductions to near one quarter of a mile. Graupel or sleet are also possible.
Motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing conditions along their route. Slow down and allow extra distance between you and the vehicle in front of you upon encountering any snow squalls.
Watch for icy spots developing especially after dark.
In addition, winter weather advisories remain in effect for the mountains, where higher elevations bring lower temperatures, more sustained accumulations, and worse roads conditions.
