Low pressure near Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, will strengthen into a major winter storm as in moves north along the East Coast.

* WHAT...
Snow expected. Total snow accumulations an inch or less in the valleys but up to 6 inches along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...
Amherst and Rockbridge Counties.

* WHEN...
Until 7 AM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...
Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
