As a cold front moves slowly east across the region this morning, lingering moisture near the surface will permit areas of fog to form and become dense in some locations. The patchy dense fog will lower visibility to one-quarter mile or less at times. The visibility may change rapidly over short distances.
Allow extra time to reach your destination this morning. Use your fog lamps and low beam headlights when driving, and allow extra distance between vehicles on the roadways. The fog will slowly dissipate through the late morning hours.
