At 546 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Norlina to Oxford.
Movement was east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Roanoke Rapids, Henderson, Oxford, Warrenton, Norlina, Littleton, Weldon, Middleburg, Macon, and Gillburg.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 95 near Mile Marker 173.
Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 206 and 233.
