Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 3 inches, with locally up to 5 inches along western-facing slopes above 2500 feet. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. Visibility one half mile or less at times.

* WHERE...
In Maryland, Eastern Garrett County. In Virginia, Western Highland County.

* WHEN...
From 4 PM Wednesday to 7 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...
Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
A mix of rain and snow will change to all snow by late Wednesday afternoon. Brief periods of heavy snow and near blizzard conditions are possible in squalls through Wednesday evening, then snow will gradually taper off through early Thursday morning.
