Neuse River at Smithfield.

* WHEN...
Until late Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...
At 15.0 feet, Minor flooding begins. Flooding begins along the Neuse Riverwalk. Water nears the base of the holding tank at the water treatment plant.
At 18.0 feet, Moderate flooding begins. The Smithfield town park and the Neuse Riverwalk at the US70 bridge are flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:15 PM EST Saturday the stage was 16.7 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:15 PM EST Saturday was 16.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.4 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage late Monday evening.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
