At 715 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles northeast of RDU International to 7 miles northwest of Zebulon to 7 miles southwest of Bailey. Movement was northeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Rocky Mount, Nashville, Louisburg, Wilson, Wake Forest, Zebulon, Franklinton, Elm City, Dortches, and Bailey.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 141 and 116.
Interstate 540 between Mile Markers 9 and 12, and between Mile Markers 13 and 14.
NC Highway 264 between Mile Markers 20 and 38.
