Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

* WHERE...
A portion of piedmont North Carolina, including the following county, Rowan.

* WHEN...
Until 8 AM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A weak area of low pressure will continue to push inland across the Carolinas. As the system moves further inland over the area, rainfall totals will gradually climb. The Charlotte Metro area will likely see the highest rainfall amounts through Tuesday morning, with totals ranging from 2 to 4 inches. Locally higher amounts of 4 to 5 inches are possible.
These rainfall totals may lead to a few instances of flash flooding across the watch area.
