Flash Flood Warning issued July 5 at 9:05PM EDT until July 5 at 10:45PM EDT by NWS Charleston WV
At 905 PM EDT, trained weather spotters reported flash flooding across the warned area. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen.
Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Multiple roads are flooded across portions of Boone and Logan Counties. Six Mile Creek along Six Mile Road in Boone County has overflowed its banks.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.
SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Madison, Chapmanville, Van, Chief Logan State Park, Mount Gay-Shamrock, Danville, Mitchell Heights, Jeffrey, Turtle Creek, Sharples, Blair, Foster, and Prenter.
This includes Route 119 between mile markers 30 and 51.
