At 836 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles southwest of Clarksville, or 8 miles east of Virgilina, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Warrenton, Norlina, Stovall, Middleburg, Macon, Afton, Steele Creek Marina & Campground, Kerr Lake, Lake Gaston, and Wise.
This includes Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 216 and 233.
