Canceled 7/2/25 12:58 AM Flood Advisory issued July 1 at 10:50PM EDT until July 2 at 1:00AM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA * WHAT... Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE... Portions of north central North Carolina, including the following counties, Caswell, Rockingham and Stokes and south central Virginia, including the following counties and independent cities, City of Danville, City of Martinsville, Henry and Pittsylvania. * WHEN... Until 100 AM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1050 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Benton Branch, Belews Creek, Benaja Creek, Bearskin Creek, Banister River, Beaver Creek and Bassett Branch. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Danville... Eden... Reidsville... Martinsville... Wentworth... Mayodan...
