Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.

* WHERE...
A portion of northwest North Carolina, including the following counties, Alleghany NC, Ashe and Wilkes.

* WHEN...
Until 400 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 151 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicates light to occasionally moderate rain across the advisory area. However, between 3 and 3.5 inches of rain fell earlier this evening over a short period of time near Wilkesboro. Runoff from this rain continues to collect in local creeks and stream, with some of them still out of their banks, though water levels continue to fall.

Cane Creek, East Prong Roaring River, Bee Tree Branch, Darnell Creek, Big Bugaboo Creek, Clear Branch, Church Branch, Cub Creek, Camp Branch, Big Sandy Creek, Cove Creek and Basin Creek.
