Snow showers will become more intense this afternoon with the the potential for localized brief coatings on area roadways along with visibility reductions to near one quarter of a mile.
Motorists should be prepared for rapidly changing conditions along their route. Slow down and allow extra distance between you and the vehicle in front of you upon encountering any snow squalls.
In addition, winter weather advisories remain in effect for portions of the West Virginia mountains and southwest Virginia.
