There is an increased threat of fires growing out of control today due to a combination of humidity expected to drop to around 30 to 35 percent this afternoon, northwest winds gusting above 20 mph, and dry fuels. These conditions will make it possible for fire to spread quickly.
Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged during this time. Please refer to your local burn permitting authority on whether you can burn. If you do burn, use extreme caution and ensure fire suppression equipment is readily available.
