Flash Flood Warning issued July 9 at 11:30PM EDT until July 10 at 3:30AM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA
At 1130 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that heavy rain from thunderstorms earlier this evening has exited the warned area, leaving only light to occasionally moderate rainfall. However, between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain fell between 9 pm and 11 pm. Runoff from this rainfall continues to collect within local creeks and streams, and may cause them to rise rapidly out of their banks onto nearby roadways.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
