Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...
A portion of southwest Virginia, including the following counties, Carroll and Patrick.

* WHEN...
Until 1000 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. River or stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 655 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Johnson Creek, Doe Run Creek, Brushy Fork, Fall Creek, Dan River, Archies Creek, Ararat River and Birds Branch.
Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected.
