At 419 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Prospect Hill, moving southeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Durham, Butner, Rougemont, Carr, Lake Michie, Lake Butner, Eno River State Park, Gorman, Bahama, and Schley.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 170 and 193.
the Durham Freeway between Mile Markers 10 and 17.
