...Drizzle And Fog Overnight With Poor Visibility...
Fog has been persistent along the Blue Ridge Parkway and across the Highlands. Visibility has been reduced to a quarter mile at times. A persistent drizzle has also developed, and this will also hinder the visibility. In some ridgetop locations, such as Bent Mountain, Virginia, the temperature is just below freezing and this may result in freezing drizzle and icing.
The fog and drizzle will persist into the overnight. A period of steadier rain with embedded heavier showers is expected to move through the area between 10PM and 4AM.
Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling overnight.
Allow for extra time to reach your destination.
