Temperatures this afternoon into the early evening will reach the upper 80s to low 90s across the area. This, combined with high humidity, will result in heat indices ranging from the mid 90s to near 100 degrees in some locations.
Try to limit time outdoors this afternoon when heat illness is most likely to occur. If going outdoors, make sure to drink plenty of fluids and take breaks out of the sun.
