At 645 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10 miles east of Midland, or 14 miles southwest of Albemarle. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Albemarle, Badin Lake, Ansonville, Plyler, Locust, Norwood, Badin, Oakboro, Stanfield, and Morrow Mountain State Park.
