Canceled 1/26/21 5:57 AM Flood Advisory issued January 26 at 4:42AM EST until January 26 at 6:00AM EST by NWS Blacksburg VA Prolonged rain will result in minor flooding in the New River and Roanoke Valleys. At 442 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Roanoke, Blacksburg, Salem, Christiansburg, Radford, Pulaski and Vinton. Additional rainfall of 0.25 inches is expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.  |
