The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening to a crest of 17.8 feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Wednesday morning.

* Impact...
At 16.0 feet, Water goes over the banks of the Potomac near the mouth of the Opequon River.

This crest compares to a previous crest of 17.8 feet on 03/12/1952.
