However, a threat of flooding remains due to between 2.5 and 4 inches of rain that fell earlier this evening, especially in small creeks and streams that remain swollen and swift-flowing. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Boone... Wilkesboro... Blowing Rock... Deep Gap... Todd... Wilbar... Foscoe... This includes the following streams and drainages...
