At 330 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles southwest of Gassaway to 6 miles southeast of Clay to near Smithers to Van.
Movement was east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Summersville, Fayetteville, Clay, Oak Hill, Montgomery, Chesapeake, Ansted, Cedar Grove, East Bank, Glasgow, Smithers, Gauley Bridge, Pratt, Camden-On-gauley, Van, Birch River, Burnwell, Powellton, Glen, and Hawks Nest State Park.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 79 between mile markers 39 and 60.
West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 52 and 86.
Route 19 between mile markers 9 and 68.
