Snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to 2 to 4 inches across the area, locally higher amounts are possible near the ridgetops above 3000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

Western Highland County.

* WHEN...
From 7 PM this evening to 11 AM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...
Plan on slippery road conditions especially along US-25O west of Monterey, VA. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
Behind a very strong cold front, temperatures will fall rapidly through the evening and night. This may lead to flash freeze conditions as temperatures plummet to below freezing.
Wind chill temperatures tonight will fall into the lower single digits.
