Total snow accumulations up to 2 to 4 inches across the area, locally higher amounts are possible near the ridgetops above 3000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. * WHERE... Western Highland County. * WHEN... From 7 PM this evening to 11 AM EDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS... Plan on slippery road conditions especially along US-25O west of Monterey, VA. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... Behind a very strong cold front, temperatures will fall rapidly through the evening and night. This may lead to flash freeze conditions as temperatures plummet to below freezing.
