Canceled 6/25/25 3:46 PM Flood Advisory issued June 25 at 2:41PM EDT until June 25 at 5:45PM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA * WHAT... Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE... A portion of west central Virginia, including the following counties, Alleghany VA and Bath. * WHEN... Until 545 PM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 241 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Cowpasture River, Falling Spring Creek, Cedar Creek, Dry Run, Hoover Creek, Jackson River, Dunlap Creek, Dry Creek, Cove Run and Brushy Lick. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Clifton Forge...
