* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is occurring. This approaches the flood of record.

* Recent Activity...
The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:15 AM EST Tuesday was 30.8 feet.

* Forecast...
The river is expected to fall below flood stage late this morning and continue falling to 11.3 feet Sunday morning.

* Impact...
At 27.0 feet, Coal River Road is flooded in several places along river. Smith Creek Road and Ferrell Roads are impassable.

* Flood History...
This crest compares to a previous crest of 26.3 feet on 11/13/2003.
