At 224 AM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated an area of very heavy rainfall across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Bluefield, Lexington, Buena Vista, Princeton, Covington and Clifton Forge.
In Mercer County, Camp Creek, Brush Creek near Princeton and East River at Willowton were all rising quickly. Gauges on the Bluestone River also showed sharp rises.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area.
