Byrd Lock. * Until late Wednesday night. * At 8:00 PM EST Tuesday the stage was 50.9 feet. * Flood stage is 50.0 feet. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Recent Activity... The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 PM EST Tuesday was 50.9 feet. * Forecast... The river is expected to rise to a crest of 51.0 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening. * Impact... At 50.0 feet, Sections of Route 7 and portions of Gallipolis along the immediate river will flood. Also, bottom lands on the Ohio side of the river are flooded. * Flood History... This crest compares to a previous crest of 51.0 feet on 09/20/2004. |
