Significant drying and gusty winds in the wake of a cold front will lead to an increased risk of fires growing out of control through Friday evening. With relative humidity likely to drop below 30 percent and northwest winds expected to gust above 20 mph, these conditions will allow fires to spread more quickly.
Outdoor burning is discouraged.
Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether you can burn today. If you do burn, use extreme caution since fires can quickly get out of hand under these conditions.
