Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Alamance, Chatham, Durham, Granville, Orange and Wake.

* WHEN...
Until 600 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 246 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
North Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Burlington, Graham, Hillsborough, Creedmoor, Pittsboro, Carrboro, Mebane, Butner, Swepsonville, Alamance, Stem, Efland, Eno River State Park, Cane Creek Reservoir, Fearrington, Jordan Lake and Parkwood.
