An extended period of temperatures up to 30 degrees below normal. Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 25 degrees below zero.

* WHERE...
In Virginia, Central Virginia Blue Ridge and Northern Virginia Blue Ridge, and Eastern Highland County. In West Virginia, Eastern Pendleton County.

* WHEN...
Until 7 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...
The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes.
