At 1058 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles south of Burnsville to 9 miles west of Downtown Asheville to 6 miles east of Sylva. Movement was east at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Downtown Asheville, Marion, Waynesville, Morganton, East Asheville, Arden, West Asheville, North Asheville, Black Mountain, and Mills River.
