Canceled 7/21/26 5:57 PM Flood Advisory issued July 21 at 5:04PM EDT until July 21 at 6:00PM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA * WHAT... Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE... Portions of southwest Virginia, including the following county, Giles and southeast West Virginia, including the following counties, Mercer, Monroe and Summers. * WHEN... Until 600 PM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 504 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated no additional heavy rain is expected during the extent of the advisory. Streams are expected to be lowering, but there still may be a few locations still experiencing lingering flooding. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Adair Run, Brush Creek, Lick Creek, Little Island Creek, Hales Branch, East River, Island Creek, Daves Fork, New River, Hackett Creek, Big Spring Branch and Crooked Creek. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Peterstown... Rich Creek... Oakvale... Glen Lyn... Willowton...
