At 148 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms near North Carolina Zoo. These storms were nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
High Point, Asheboro, Randleman, North Carolina Zoo, Siler City, Goldston, Seagrove, Archdale, Trinity, and Pleasant Garden.
