Canceled 8/11/26 8:25 PM Flash Flood Warning issued August 11 at 6:33PM EDT until August 11 at 9:30PM EDT by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC FFWGSP The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... South Central Cabarrus County in the piedmont of North Carolina... * Until 930 PM EDT. * At 633 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated torrential rain due to a stationary thunderstorm south of Mount Pleasant and east of Harrisburg near Midland. Between 2-3 inches of rain have fallen so far, with an additional inch of rain possible. The initial Flood Advisory is no longer sufficient to handle the runoff and rapid stream rises occurring. Therefore, a Flash Flood Warning is being issued to message the escalating flood threat. Minor flooding is now likely in the warned area of southeast Cabarrus County near Midland. Avoid flooded roadways and all streams. * Areas of greatest concern include along Reedy Creek near Lower Rocky River Rd, Anderson Creek near Bethel Church Rd, Horton Branch near Robert Bost Rd, and Caldwell Creek near Rebel Dr. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that may experience flash flooding include...
