The Flood Watch is now in effect for * Portions of Virginia and southeast West Virginia, including the following areas, in Virginia, Alleghany VA, Bath, and Tazewell. In southeast West Virginia, Eastern Greenbrier, Mercer, Monroe, Summers, and Western Greenbrier.

* From 7 AM EST this morning through Monday morning * Periods of heavy rainfall today through Monday morning may result in areas of flooding or flash flooding.

* Quick rises on area creeks, streams, and other low lying areas will be possible. Downed trees are also possible as a result of saturated ground and root systems. Mudslides in areas of steep terrain and alongside roadways with steep or disturbed terrain is also possible.
