Portions of North Carolina, including the following counties, Caswell, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, Wilkes and Yadkin and Virginia, including the following counties, Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, Botetourt, Buckingham, Campbell, Charlotte, Franklin, Halifax, Henry, Patrick, Pittsylvania, Roanoke and Rockbridge.

From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through this evening.

* IMPACTS...
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Slow moving thunderstorms are expected to re-develop during the peak heating part of the day. Rainfall rates of 2 to 4 inches in an hour are possible, and this may lead to flash flooding if a storm lingers over an area for even a short amount of time.
