The combination of westerly winds gusting to 20-25 mph, with infrequent gusts to 30 mph, relative humidity levels between 25 and 30 percent, and prolonged dryness, an increased fire danger statement is now in effect for all of central NC on Wednesday from 11 am to 7 pm. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged.
