The Flood Watch continues for * Portions of northeast Kentucky, southeast Ohio, southwest Virginia and West Virginia, including the following areas, in northeast Kentucky, Boyd, Carter, Greenup and Lawrence KY. In southeast Ohio, Gallia and Lawrence OH. In southwest Virginia, Buchanan and Dickenson. In West Virginia, Barbour, Boone, Braxton, Cabell, Calhoun, Clay, Doddridge, Gilmer, Harrison, Jackson WV, Kanawha, Lewis, Lincoln, Logan, Mason, McDowell, Mingo, Northwest Fayette, Northwest Nicholas, Northwest Pocahontas, Northwest Raleigh, Northwest Randolph, Northwest Webster, Putnam, Ritchie, Roane, Southeast Fayette, Southeast Nicholas, Southeast Pocahontas, Southeast Raleigh, Southeast Randolph, Southeast Webster, Taylor, Upshur, Wayne, Wirt and Wyoming.

* Until 7 AM EST this morning.

* Additional rounds of light to moderate rainfall are expected into early Monday morning ahead of an approaching cold front. Preceding rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 4.0 inches across the watch area have left soils compromised. Additional rainfall totals between 0.25 and 1.0 inches are possible through Monday morning, and much of this will be pure runoff given the state of the soils. This will result in additional rises on creeks and streams as well as ponding in low laying areas.
